Mars Rover Opportunity is STILL Roving!

When I started writing The Mighty Mars Rovers, which was published June 2012, Spirit and Opportunity had defied all expectations and survived a full year past their expected three-month mission.  Now, Opportunity, the little rover that could, is in its NINTH YEAR of exploring Mars. It has survived FIVE brutal Martian winters and is exploring a huge crater called Endeavor.  Here is a great short video on Opportunity’s eight years exploring Mars.

And here’s where you can get updates on the amazing rover’s newest adventures and discoveries.
